Memoir Writing Prompt: I’m a kangaroo. What are you?
Our son and daughter-in-law gave my husband and me a very unique Christmas gift this year. We each received an analysis of our spirit animal. This is a big thing right now. Who knew? A lady who used to be an FBI profiler looks at a picture of a person and can tell his/her personality, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Thank goodness the reading was mostly good. I guess being a kangaroo isn’t all that bad.
I am strong, grounded, protective, and focused. Sometimes I lack the ability to stick to one thing (I multi-task). I know how to put things behind me and move forward and never look back (maybe I’m part turtle). People with this spirit animal always protect their families (I can be a mama bear but also know when my kid is wrong). So that’s the good side—I won’t bore you with the bad side (I guarantee you it’s there).
So I am a kangaroo. You can find a quiz online that gives you your spirit animal. The quiz didn’t come out with the same animal for me as the FBI profiler did, but the description was pretty close. Interesting stuff. All-in-all, it tells us how we are wired, and it’s fun to do.
Memoir Writing Prompt: Discover your spirit animal (spiritanimal.info). Then write about an event in your past that reveals your animal characteristics. Be honest.
And have fun writing for your generations to come.
