A Fun Read for Middle School and Beyond!

I am an author of non-fiction with a secret love of dragons and all I can say is “Wow”! C. Lee McKenzie’s Sign of the Green Dragon kept me guessing every inch of the way. McKenzie’s imagery had me searching the cold walls of the cave in the dark, while feeling the breeze of the dragons’ wings giving me goosebumps down my neck. The eerie feeling of being watched trailed me throughout the story. From the first cave for a runaway boy to the humongous cave where the mystery is solved, this action-packed adventure of three boys on the quest of a promised treasure is a fun read. The book leaves me looking for a series to come. And an added treat at the end—a sneak look at another one of her exciting books—Alligators Overhead. Even though this is written for middle school readers, we can all use a fun read once in a while. I look forward to many more great reads from C.Lee McKenzie.
